The 3rd Week-end of the Citizens’ conference and handover of the citizen’s report

28.-29.05.2021 | Citizens’ conference 3rd Week-end

Over the course of three weekends, 18 Berliners engaged in intensive discussions with experts on the topic of “autonomous and connected driving in Berlin” and developed a citizen’s report with recommendations for the future use of this technology. The Berlin Agency for Electromobility eMO guided and conducted the conference.

31.05.2021, 10.06.2021 | Handover of the citizens’ report

Following the handover on May 31, 2021 to State Transportation Secretary Ingmar Streese, the legislature has now also taken note of the citizen group’s report on autonomous and connected driving. During a corona-conditioned open-air meeting in front of the Berlin House of Representatives in Niederkirchnerstraße in early June, two of the citizens involved presented the paper to the transport policy spokespersons of the CDU, FDP, SPD, Die Linke and Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. The spokesman of the committee, Oliver Friederici, expressed his thanks on behalf of the committee and promised to present the report to them and to take it into account for further developments in the field of autonomous mobility in Berlin.
